The song is about the singer wanting to be this girl’s
boyfriend but he’s not. He’s trying to say that he means nothing to her, and he’s
trying to make it seem like she feels the same way but she doesn't. Also he’s
trying to say that she might as well kill him because she’s hurting him so
much.
What makes this song unique and memorable is that the guy
has antlers like a deer and that could mean that no one thinks of him as
anybody and that he’s an outsider in society. Also, people try to kill deer’s
it makes him look like he’s not worthy of living and that he’s weird. He’s being
treated like an animal and he’s being judged by his appearance.
The visual effect is that the guy has antlers and he’s being
discriminated because of that. The story line is that he wants the girl to like
him but he’s not comfortable with the way he looks so he messes up with the way
he talks and acts around her. This makes us feel sorry for him and makes us
want to help him. Also the chorus makes us think that if he doesn't get the
girl he’s going to kill himself.
